Authorities decided to shift Asia Cup tournament to Hambantota, Sri Lanka

Due to bad weather conditions and future forecast Asia Cup 2023 from now will be played in Hambantota, Sri Lanka 

As rain has been the point of conversation in recent matches in the tournament so the authorities have come to the decision to held upcoming matches in Hambantota other than Colombo. Asia Cricket Council (ACC) is going to announce soon of this major change in the tournament. Though all the teams have been informed till now about this, but many fans are disappointed with this as many of them has reserved their hotels in Colombo and pre-reserved their tickets for the further matches. Asia Cricket Council (ACC) also discussed to continue the tournament in UAE but soon pulled it off due to some teams disagreement. 

Although this decision is in the favor of all the teams but participants are arguing with the Council because of this big change in the tournament in such a short period of time. All were preparing for the pitch of Colombo but now have to do quick change in their squads and strategies to make up to the trophy. 

 Asia Cricket Council (ACC) President Jay Shah and Pakistan Cricket Board's(PCB) Chief even discussing to rescheduling the tournament but soon it was discarded due to World Cup 2024 and other international series to come ahead.
